Introduction of Foot Reflexology & Rwo Shur
Foot Reflexology
has been around for over 5,000 years. It is a preventive

The
reflex zones in a person's feet are massaged to normalize
the functions of his /her internal organs and glands to
become healthy and free from ailments. It is one
of the Traditional Medical Therapies recorded in Ancient
Chinese Medical Text.
The
Rwo Shur Foot Reflexology
Rwo Shur School of Foot Reflexology is one of the more
popular schools of foot reflexology. Due to its effectiveness,
its popularity has spread throughout the world.
Rwo
Shur Foot Reflexology begins with an initial diagnosis
to identify the problematic areas. Once identified, throughout
the treatment, pressure is applied to the corresponding
reflex zones. This is done using the hands or (e.g. wooden
or plastic Bar) along with a special cream (Fuss Balsam)
to reduce friction on the feet. The session last about
30 - 40 minutes. After the session, it is recommended
that 500 c.c. of water is to be consumed. Through regular
sessions, the symptoms of common ailments can be significantly
reduced. This is one of the many activities we conduct.
The
book titled: The Rwo Shur Health
Method - A Foot Reflexology Handbook provides good
introduction to people who are interested in the method.
You can look in the section for a write-up on this method.
The Longevity Tao of Foot
is also a very practical book for beginners.
Foot
reflexology was brought into the limelight in Asia by
Father Josef more than 20 years ago. Father
Josef's Foot Reflexology is the first book written
in English about his experiences and his unique foot reflexology
method, which he initiated, researched and advocates,
based on western and eastern cultural perceptions.
